Erdogan: Turkiye irreplaceable for Europe

Recent events in the world show Turkiye’s indispensability for the European continent, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a televised address following a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

Erdogan noted that the participants of the summit of the European Political Community held in Prague highly appreciated Ankara’s mediating role in resolving the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Referring to the tension in relations between Turkiye and Greece, President Erdogan criticized the position of Brussels on this issue.

The Turkish head of state called on the EU to invite Greece to dialogue with Ankara on a bilateral basis, and not to support the illegal initiatives of Athens under the pretext of European unity and solidarity.
