Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he will meet face to face with US President Donald Trump at the first opportunity, Report informsvia Anadolu Agency.
Erdogan made the remark during his statement to the media on the plane while returning from Italy.
The Turkish President stated that he believes relations between the US and Türkiye will develop further: "Our phone conversation was very sincere, productive and friendly. We appreciate his behavior that takes into account Türkiye's sensitivities."
Erdogan added that as two leaders, they think that US-Türkiye relations will accelerate in a positive direction on the Syrian issue as well.
