Erdogan calls recognition of Palestine by UN Security Council members a historic step

The UN Security Council members' recognition of the Palestinian state is a historic step, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Report informs via Anadolu.
Erdogan also congratulated the UK on its decision to recognize the State of Palestine.
The Turkish president stated that support for Palestine should be maintained and the Benjamin Netanyahu government in Israel should be stopped with more effective measures than diplomatic pressure.
The leaders also discussed bilateral and regional issues.
