The earthquake of magnitude 5.6 that occurred in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea was also felt in Armenia, the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Armenia said, Report informs via Armenian media.

“An earthquake with a magnitude of 3 was felt in the cities of Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Dilijan and Berd in the Tavush province, as well as in the village of Achajur,” Armenian seismologists noted.

The Republican Center for Seismological Service at the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan reported that the earthquake occurred at 08:16 Baku time (GMT +4).

According to preliminary data, the source of the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 was at a depth of 68 km in the Caspian Sea.

Tremors were felt in Baku and other cities of Azerbaijan.
