Doha hosts first face-to-face Russia-Ukraine talks on return of children

Representatives of Russia and Ukraine for the first time held face-to-face negotiations on the issue of reuniting children with their families. The negotiations took place through the mediation of the Qatari authorities in Doha, said Commissioner for Children’s Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, Maria Lvova-Belova, Report informs referring to the Kommersant newspaper.

The parties agreed that 29 children would be returned to Ukraine and 19 to Russia.
