Death toll from avalanche in Tajikistan rises to 15

As a result of an avalanche in the east of Tajikistan, 15 people were killed and 12 people were injured, said Umeda Yusufi, spokesperson for the Committee for Emergency Situations, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Tajikistan.

Four residential buildings were destroyed, another 35 were partially destroyed, 5 household facilities were also damaged.

Now the regional commission for emergency situations determines the damage.

According to weather forecasts, the danger of avalanches will continue until February 19.
