The number of reinfections is gradually increasing in Georgia due to the coronavirus mutation, Report's Georgian Service informs, citing Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health of Georgia.

According to Gamkrelidze, the epidemiological situation in Georgia is deteriorating.

“There are about 8,000 active cases in the country. From January until April 13, the number of new cases per day had not exceeded a thousand. The latter indicator (1,374) is of great concern,” he said.
