Opposition member of the Georgian parliament Khatia Dekanoidze has tried to hit pro-government member Guram Macharashvili with a plastic water bottle during a discussion of the bill on foreign agents at a meeting of the legal committee, Report informs referring to TASS.

Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee Anri Okhanashvili, who is chairing the meeting, removed Dekanoidze from the hall when she continued speaking after the microphone was turned off. The verbal altercation between Dekanoidze and Okhanashvili continued as she stood up to leave her seat.

When the deputy walked along the row of seats to the exit and approached Macharashvili, he accused her of selling her homeland under the previous government. In response to this, Dekanoidze grabbed a water bottle and tried to hit him on the head.
