Biden announces appointment of new Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations

Louis L. Bono has been appointed the new US Department of State Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Twitter, according to Report.

"His efforts will further our work on the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the South Caucasus," he tweeted.

The position, which was previously held by Philip Reeker, was formally designated as "Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair." However, the absence of a reference to the "OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair" once again confirms that official Washington already recognizes that such a structure no longer exists.
