The government of Belarus has approved the list of unfriendly countries, Report informs.
The relevant resolution of the Council of Ministers has been published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
In addition to the EU countries, this list includes 12 more states - the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Norway, New Zealand, Albania, Iceland, North Macedonia, Liechtenstein, Montenegro and Switzerland.
The decision comes into force from the day of its official publication.
On April 7, the president of Belarus signed a decree aimed at “protecting national economic entities from debiting funds from their accounts at the request of residents of foreign states who commit unfriendly actions against Belarusian legal entities or individuals.”
In addition, an obligation is introduced for banks and other financial organizations to refuse to accept payment claims submitted by these residents.
