Belarus has recently introduced new aviation rules for meteorological support in civil aviation.
Report informs via BELTA that these regulations align with the standards and recommended practices set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The newly adopted rules establish requirements and regulate activities related to the organization of meteorological support provided within the framework of air navigation services for aircraft flights in Belarusian airspace. The rules are mandatory for legal entities and individuals involved in providing meteorological support for aircraft flights in Belarus, as well as for airspace users in relevant parts.
According to the document, the requirements for organizing meteorological support include monitoring meteorological elements, processing meteorological data, providing meteorological information to ensure safe aircraft flights, conducting briefings and consultations.
