Atomic Energy Organization: Iran will continue to develop nuclear industry

Iran will continue to develop its nuclear industry despite strikes on the country's nuclear facilities, the Atomic Energy Organization of the Islamic Republic said, Report informs.

The organization emphasized that strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities contradict international law, particularly the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

"The enemy has taken responsibility for the attack on the aforementioned facilities, which are under constant monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) based on the Safeguards Agreement and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

We expect the international community to condemn this lawlessness and support Iran in its pursuit to secure its legitimate rights [to nuclear energy]," the statement says.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that American Air Force conducted a successful attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
