Armenian political scientist: Iran offered Armenia help during 44-day war

The Armenian society will be shocked if it finds out what proposals Iran made during the 44-day war and which Pashinyan refused, political scientist Stepan Danielyan said, Report informs via Armenian media.

According to him, Armenia accepting those proposals could change the outcome of the war.

"Why Nikol Pashinyan refused the proposals?" asks Danielyan.

As a possible reason, the Armenian political scientist put forward the position of the United States:

"During a visit to Armenia in 2018, John Bolton (former national security adviser to the President of the United States) set the task of closing the Iranian border. He urged Armenians to get rid of stereotypes and said that the US is interested in the attitude of Armenia and Armenians towards Turkiye. I mean, it's important to them. Bolton named the price that the current ruling regime had to pay to get supported in coming to power in Armenia. This was the condition for the change of power in 2018," Stepan Danielyan added.
