Armenia's COVID-19 tally surpasses 10 thousand

The number of coronavirus cases grew by 517 in the past 24 hours, reaching 10,009, Report says, citing National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to the center, a total of 3,427 patients have recovered, 6,368 are getting treatment.

The coronavirus death toll reached 158, as 19 fell victim to the virus in the last 24 hours. The age of the deceased range between 50-86. All of them had chronic diseases.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China's Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 213 countries and territories since then.

To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 6,3 globally, resulting in more than 2,9 recoveries and over 377 deaths.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
