Armenia extends service life of Metsamor NPP until 2036

Armenia plans to extend the operational period of the Metsamor nuclear power plant until 2036 with the appropriate license next year, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia, Gnel Sanosyan, said during his speech in the parliament, Report informs.
According to him, 20.2 billion drams (about $50 million) have been allocated to extend the service life of the Armenian NPP.
