Ahmad Obali: Main roots of PKK terrorist organization are in Iran

The main roots of the PKK terrorist organization are in Iran, the head of South Azerbaijan TV (GunAztv) Ahmet Obali said at the event themed "Iran in a new point of view" held by the Center for Social Research (CSR), Report informs.

He said that Turkiye is worried about the emergence of serious ethnic change inside Iran: "But Turkish politicians should pay attention to the speed of regional processes. Today, the main roots of the PKK terrorist organization are in Iran. The PKK has been in contact with Iran since its inception."

The analyst said that the PKK has a separate branch in Iran:

"The resolution of the South issue can also settle the Kurdish issue against Turkiye. If South Azerbaijan is free, there can be no Kurdish activity on the border with Turkiye."

“The Turkic world that we once dreamed of is now coming true. But this will be possible only thanks to South Azerbaijan. We also expect support from our South Azerbaijani brothers,” he stressed.
