More than 1,700 war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine are currently being investigated, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova said, Report informs via Ukrainian media.

"The prosecutor's office registers every war crime of the Russian Federation in our territory. Currently, 1,717 criminal cases are under investigation," the Ukrainian prosecutor general said.

Of these, 1,059 are violations of war laws and regulations, and 658 are other crimes.

Venediktova noted that the single national platform warcrimes.gov.ua collects evidence of Russia's crimes.

"If you are a witness or victim, if you have a photo or video evidence, join our justice front," she added.
