WHO urges to vaccinate 30% of population against COVID by end-year

States must vaccinate at least 30 percent of the population against COVID-19 by the end of the year, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at the expert session Fighting Infections: Future Risks of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

“Lack of vaccination is a threat to all countries... I urge all countries to support the global vaccination effort and vaccinate at least 10 percent of the population of each state by September and at least 30 percent by the end of the year. Doctors and people at risk should be vaccinated as a priority,” he said.
