Uzbekistan creates conditions for disabled persons’ participation in elections

All conditions have been created for people with disabilities to participate in the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

According to Report’s correspondent sent to Tashkent, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan Zainiddin Nizamkhojayev made the remark at a press conference for international observers and media representatives on the preparation and holding of early presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which will be held on July 9.

“Each polling station is equipped with a template printed in Braille so that visually impaired citizens can express their will,” he said.

The head of the CEC noted that specially equipped secret voting booths for people with disabilities were placed at the polling stations.
