US hopeful talks on Ukraine would start in future, says up to Kyiv to establish conditions

The United States expects negotiations on Ukraine will start at some point in the future, Julianne Smith, the US Permanent Representative to NATO, said in an interview with Corriere della Sera, Report informs, citing TASS.
“Our president has just said that this war has to end with some agreement, but we want this to be the competence of President Zelenskyy: he will establish the conditions for sitting at the table, including the respect of the borders and the assuming of responsibility for actions [by the Russian side],” she told the Italian newspaper.
