Unknown with a knife attacks Indonesian Ministry of Security

Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Wiranto was attacked by an unidentified assailant using some form of sharp weapon during a working visit on Thursday to Pandeglang, Banten, Report informs citing The Jakarta Post .

As a result of the attack, the Minister was injured and immediately taken to Berkah Pandeglang General Hospital. It appears a police officer was injured in the attack.

The assault happened after the senior minister attended the inauguration of a university building in Sindanghayu village, Saketi subdistrict. The man attempted to stab Wiranto shortly after the latter got out of his car.

Banten Police had arrested a man, identified with the initials SA, and a woman.
