UNGA session attendees to be required to have COVID passport

Those present at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Sept. 21, world leaders, heads of government, and delegation members will be required to have a COVID passport, said Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN secretary-general, the local bureau of Report informs.
He said that vaccination passports have been required in restaurants, hotels, and other public places in New York since the first week of September.
It is expected that 43 heads of government and three deputies will personally take part in the events of the high-level week of the UNGA, 12 heads of government will provide a recorded appeal, foreign ministers of 23 countries will deliver a speech.
The session will end on Sept. 27.
