UN extends UNAMA’s mandate

The UN Security Council has extended the mandate of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) until March 17, 2023, Report informs.
The document was supported by 14 members of the Security Council, while Russia abstained.
Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia wants the mission to succeed, but does not want to take responsibility if it fails to fulfill all the tasks assigned to it.
