United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has emphasized the urgent need to prevent the further escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran, according to Report.
He noted that the ongoing hostilities are resulting in civilian casualties, injuries, destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure, and attacks on nuclear facilities.
"The expansion of this conflict could ignite a fire that no one can control. We must not let that happen," the UN chief said.
