Ukraine to receive EUR 300M loan from France

On March 28, 2022, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko inked an agreement with the French Development Agency to obtain a loan of EUR 300 million on concessional terms, Report informs, citing foreign media.
"I praise our French colleagues for their prompt decision. The funds provided to us are extremely important for maintaining the stability of the financial system in the conditions of a full-scale war with Russia," Serhii Marchenko said.
The loan is provided at a fixed interest rate of 1.04% per annum for 15 years (taking into account the grace period for deferral of loan repayment for a period of five years from the date of the loan agreement).
The funds will be used to finance the state budget.
