UK House of Lords rejects no-deal Brexit

Baku. 15 January. REPORT.AZ/ The British House of Lords rejected the no-deal Brexit by a majority vote, thus discarding the scenario of the so-called "hard Brexit", Report informs citing the House of Lords post on Twitter.

“RESULT: #HouseofLords votes 321 for, 152 against @LadyBasildon motion to reject no deal outcome and regretting terms of govt deal and future relationship with EU, so motion is agreed” said in a statement.

If the evening vote on Brexit is failed, the Parliament will need to make a bill on the organization of a new referendum on the country's withdrawal from the European Union.

Notably, the House of Commons will vote on the agreement on Brexit on January 15 evening.

The European Union officially confirmed that it would not hold new negotiations with the UK on Brexit.
