Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó believes that NATO is militarily much stronger than Russia, and therefore members of the alliance should not fear an attack from it, Report informs referring to TASS.
He was speaking at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University.
Commenting on statements by some Western politicians that NATO countries could be attacked by Russia, the foreign minister said that he didn’t believe in such a development of events.
“I don’t think Russia would risk attacking a NATO member state. NATO is much stronger than Russia militarily, so if pragmatism and logic still exist, then I don’t see that threat because that would be completely illogical,” he said.
