Speaker of Russian Federation Council on possible recognition of Taliban

Recognition of the new Afghan government is not a priority, said Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

"I think the Taliban will be recognized because there is real power," she added.
