Russia, Türkiye achieve significant success regarding Akkuyu NPP

Russia and Türkiye have completed the test of financing the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) through gas payments by Botas, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Report informs via Interfax.
He made the remark during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the SCO summit in Tianjin, China.
"We have successfully completed the test phase of the clearing mechanism that will provide for the financial needs of Akkuyu through gas payments by Botas," Erdogan stated.
Rosatom is carrying out the construction of the Akkuyu NPP in Türkiye's Mersin province. The NPP will consist of four power units, each with a capacity of 1,200 MW.
