Russia's COVID incidence remains stable at around 8,000 cases per day

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 8,329 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation, Report informs referring to Russian media.

The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 4,871,843.

Currently, 270,236 Russians are undergoing treatment to beat the viral disease.

To date, a total of 112,992 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 370 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 4,488,615.

More than 157.5 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 3.28 million lives, though unable to cope with 135.06 million patients, who managed to recover.
