Rubio, Sharif mull Pakistan's role in bringing Israel-Iran peace

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have discussed Islamabad's assistance in establishing a lasting peace between Israel and Iran during a telephone conversation, Report informs referring to The Times of Israel citing a statement from the State Department.
During the conversation, the parties noted the importance of working together to promote a lasting peace between Israel and Iran, the statement said. Rubio also stressed that Iran will never be able to develop or acquire nuclear weapons.
Last week US President Donald Trump met with Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir at the White House, where they discussed Iran, which, according to Trump, Pakistan knows better than most other countries.
