Qatar will spend $ 180 million on humanitarian projects in the Gaza strip, build a field hospital, and provide with fuel the local power plant until the end of 2019, Report informs citing Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Strip Reconstruction Committee Mohammed al-Emadi said.

"The funds in the amount of $ 180 million allocated by Qatar will go to humanitarian projects in the Gaza strip and support its energy sector in coordination with UN organizations. Qatar will build a field hospital on the border with the Northern Gaza strip on an area of 40 dunums (four hectares) to support local health care. The contract on providing fuel to the power plant in Gaza will be extended until the end of the year," al-Emadi said.

According to him, Qatar intends to financially support 161 projects under the plan to improve the supply of electricity in the sector, and will continue to pay monthly benefits to needy families for six months.
