Baku. 24 November. REPORT.AZ/ Police in Paris have fired tear gas against protesters on the Champs Elysées, in the center of the French capital, Report informs citing CNN.

Nearly a thousand of people protesting against rising fuel prices and taxes, gathered on the Champs Elysées ignoring police warning.

Police were curbing the protesters for some time, but then were obliged to pull the crowd out to the center of Champs Elysée, firing tear gas.

Notably, a number of metro stations were closed over protests.

Last weekend a protester was accidentally run over and killed by a car, and more than 200 people were injured during a demonstration in eastern France.
