The interior ministers of Lithuania and Poland have agreed on joint actions regarding possible provocations and threats from Belarus, which may arise in connection with the relocation of the Wagner forces, Report informs referring to the Lithuanian National Radio Television.
The interior ministers discussed the current security situation on the border with Belarus and the principles of ongoing cooperation between Poland, Lithuania and other Baltic countries. A response to current and possible future provocations and threats from Belarus was agreed upon.
“Both sides emphasized effective and strong Polish-Lithuanian security cooperation,” the Lithuanian Interior Ministry said in a statement.
The parties also discussed the mechanism that will be applied if it is necessary to close all border crossing points with Belarus.
