Pentagon chief travels to Alaska separately from President Trump

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has traveled to Alaska separately from President Donald Trump, a Pentagon spokesperson said.

Report informs via CNN that Hegseth was not part of the delegation accompanying the US President to a summit with Vladimir Putin, where one of the key topics will be the war in Ukraine.

General Dan Kane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, departed along with Hegseth.
