At least 75 people suffered in the annual festival of the Bagwal stone-throwing festival in northern India, according to the Times of India.

Report informs, citing RIA Novosti, that the festival is held every year in the Indian state of Uttarakhand on the occasion of the full Moon. During the festivities, the participants throw stones to blandish the reigning divinity with the shed blood.

Seventy-five people needed medical aid after the event.

According to the publication, in 2013, the court in Uttarakhand ruled that residents must replace the stones with fruits and flowers. But the believers thought that the absence of a 'bleeding victim' will lead to misfortunes.
