Over 500 people die with COVID in Germany for first time since February

The number of COVID patients in Germany who died from the consequences of the disease caused by the coronavirus, has amounted to 527, an increase of 500 for the first time since February, Report informs referring to the data of the Robert Koch Institute.

The total number of deaths for the entire time of the pandemic in Germany has reached 104,047. The number of confirmed new cases of coronavirus infection in the country over the past 24 hours has increased by 69,601. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the infection has been detected in 6,291,621 residents of Germany. This is while 5,225,700 people have recovered.

It is assumed that the unvaccinated will be allowed to meet only in a small company - with a maximum of two other citizens. The rule does not apply to children.

The authorities are not going to close schools; instead, the mask regime in educational institutions will be tightened. Football stadiums can be filled to 30%, cultural events can be attended by a maximum of 5,000 people at a time. In addition, it is planned to involve pharmacy workers in the vaccination campaign. The goal is to have 30 million vaccinations by the end of December.
