OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to visit Moldova on Jan.9

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen will pay an official visit to Chisinau, Moldova on January 9 to discuss regional security issues, Report informs via Moldpres.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldovia, the agenda of the Finnish official's visit will include meetings with his Moldovan counterpart, Mihai Popshoi, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, and Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Moldova, Oleg Serebrian.

The discussions will focus on the role of the OSCE in strengthening the resilience and stability of Moldova, the process of regulating the Transnistrian conflict, including in the context of the European path of the Republic of Moldova, as well as regional security issues. The priorities on the bilateral agenda and ways to intensify the Moldovan-Finnish dialogue will also be discussed.

Also, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popshoi and Finland's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, will hold a press conference.
