Norway introduces additional entry restrictions for Russian citizens

The Norwegian authorities are introducing additional entry restrictions for Russian citizens arriving for tourism purposes from May 29, reads a statement published on the website of the Norwegian government, Report informs referring to TASS.

Norway will refuse entry to Russians arriving in the country for tourism purposes.

“Russian citizens arriving in Norway for tourism and other non-essential purposes will be denied entry to Norway when crossing the border. The tightening of rules applies to both those Russian citizens who were issued a visa by Norway before the tightening of rules in the spring of 2022, and for those whose visa was issued by other Schengen countries. In some cases, exceptions will be made, for example for Russian citizens coming to visit close relatives living in Norway (parents, officially registered spouses, de facto spouses and children), and for Russian citizens arriving in the country for the purpose of working or studying in Norway or other Schengen countries,” the message says.
