Tropical Storm Laura, which struck the Dominican Republic on August 22-23, left 1.1 million people without electricity, Report says, referring to the local newspaper El Nacional.
Specialists are currently working to restore electricity. At least two people died as a result of the hurricane.
The speed of Tropical Storm Laura was 23 m / s. The hurricane is currently moving towards Cuba.
