MFA: Moldova does not go beyond neutrality in military cooperation

Moldova does not go beyond the neutrality enshrined in the constitution regarding military cooperation with other countries, said the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Daniel Voda, Report informs.

Reacting to Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexey Zaitsev, Voda said that Moldova's cooperation with other countries on security and defense issues does not deviate from the principle of neutrality established in the country's constitution:

"At the same time, our country is obliged to ensure the safety of its citizens and to be responsible for the protection of peace and international security. The aid program announced by the European Union involves the supply of non-lethal weapons."
