Report informs citing RIA Novosti that Macron spoke in the broadcast of Radio Europe 1.

“We will not be able to protect the Europeans if we do not decide to create a real pan-European army. We must have a Europe that protects itself, mostly on its own, without US,"  Macron said.

The French president stressed that at present Europe is facing many attempts to interfere with its internal democratic processes and cyberspace.

"Today, we are witnessing increasing attempts to intervene in our cyberspace and our democratic life. We must defend ourselves! From China, Russia and even from the United States," the head of state added.
