Libyan parliament passes vote of no confidence

The Libyan parliament has passed a vote of no confidence in the government of Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh on Tuesday, said the official representative of the Libyan House of Representatives Abdullah Blikhak, Report informs via TASS.

"At a closed meeting in the presence of Speaker Aguila Saleh Issa and two of his deputies, out of 113 MPs present, 89 voted in favor of depriving the Government of National Unity of Abdel Hamid Dbeibah of the vote of confidence," he said.

According to Libya Al Ahrar TV, there has already been a reaction from the Supreme Council of State (HCU) sitting in Tripoli, which is actually the second chamber of parliament with purely deliberative powers. State Council spokesman Mohammed bin Abdel Nasser said that the HCU "rejects the procedure for revoking confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers, considering it invalid, since it runs counter to the Constitutional Declaration and the political agreement."
