Latvia bans unvaccinated residents from visiting stores

The Crisis Management Council of Latvia has decided to ban unvaccinated residents from visiting stores, with grocery stores being the only exception, Prime Minister Arturs Krisjanis Karins said at a press conference after the council meeting, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

“Only people with COVID certificates will be able to go to stores. Grocery stores will be an exception,” Karins said.

He also urged Latvian residents to switch to working online, if possible. The council also decided to oblige all school students to wear masks.

The council’s decision on October 8 will be approved by the government of Latvia.
