Korotchenko: Events in Washington have very little in common with democracy

The reason for the unrest in Washington was the Trump administration's unwillingness to admit defeat in the election. "It is extraordinary to witness the events that we observed in Washington yesterday take place in a country that claims to be a model of democracy in the Western world. It seems like this is revolutionary Yerevan or revolutionary Kyiv. But not the capital of the United States. It has very little in common with democracy," said Korotchenko.

Korotchenko also noted that the START-3 treaty extension would be an excellent first step for the new president. However, according to the expert, it is possible to toughen the anti-Russian policy, accompanied by new sanctions against the Russian financial sector and economy.
