Afghan authorities and the radical Taliban movement have decided on a regime to reduce the level of violence in Afghanistan, which should take effect this midnight, Report says, citing TASS.

"The plan envisages that this phase will start on Saturday, and the government of Afghanistan is ready to take advantage of this opportunity," a spokesman for the country's National Security Council said.

According to sources, the Taliban has pledged to stop attacks on cities, highways, and Afghan and American military bases.

Western media report that the decline in violence will last seven days, while the US and the Taliban have not yet commented on this issue.

Yesterday, the Taliban said that it would soon reach final agreements with the US authorities to reduce the level of violence in Afghanistan. This step will allow the withdrawal of all foreign troops from the country in the future.
