The curfew in Jordan has been extended until May 15 to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection, the Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin said at a press conference in Amman.
It is forbidden to go outside from 18:00 to 06:00 local time. Besides, the lockdown remains valid on weekends.
According to him, the situation in clinics is complicated: "The number of hospitalized patients is increasing, and the number of places in intensive care units is decreasing. Statistics show that we are still at a dangerous level."
He added that 7,183 new COVID-19 cases had been registered in the last 24 hours, and 82 people who tested positive for the virus died.
