Israeli general: Military operations in Rafah to continue until Hamas is destroyed

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will continue its military operation in Rafah until the radical Palestinian movement Hamas is completely destroyed in the city, according to Major General Yaron Finkelman, head of the IDF's Southern Command, Report informs.

"Our duty is to keep moving forward, and we will continue to do so until we crush Hamas," Finkelman told The Times of Israel.

Earlier, the IDF announced a temporary tactical pause in combat operations in southern Gaza from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM for humanitarian purposes.
