Israel launches operation in Rafah

The Israel Defense Forces launched an operation in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, Report informs, citing News.co.il.
City residents and displaced persons are being evacuated. They are placed in temporary camps in the Mauasi humanitarian zone.
According to the UN, 1.4 million people live in Rafah.
The operation is expected to last at least six weeks.
