Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is outpacing her Republican rival, Donald Trump, in voter support across most of the crucial swing states, according to a recent poll conducted by the Cook Political Report.
According to Report, the survey results reveal that Harris holds a 5 percentage point lead over Trump in both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, a 4-point advantage in Arizona, and a 2-point edge in Michigan and North Carolina. Nevada remains the only swing state where the Republican candidate is ahead, leading the current US Vice President by 5 points. In Georgia, both candidates are tied in terms of voter support.
Overall, Harris maintains a 2 percentage point lead over Trump, with 46% of respondents ready to back her, compared to 44% for her opponent. An additional 5% of those surveyed intend to cast their vote for independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.
The poll, which was conducted between July 26 and August 2, surveyed over 2,800 voters across the seven battleground states, with a margin of error of 1.87 percentage points.
